This isn't hipster music. If anything, the term hipster is just another label, like emo or goth. People should be able to listen to whatever they like without others criticising their taste. To me, if it sounds good, I like it, simple. Whether that band is 'popular' or not doesn't matter the slightest bit to me, and it shouldn't. To anyone.

A friend of mine told me to listen to Neutral Milk Hotel if I wanted to hear some "hipster trash". Now, mind you, I absolutely hate hipsters, but I actually think Neurtal Milk Hotel is not that bad. In fact, I think I like them.

I was pointing out how incredibly silly it was that someone would allow a mention of Jesus to affect how they felt about the song... which is what a lot of people appear to be doing. They say they liked the song "until it mentioned Jesus"...? Lmao. What does it matter if he does? Or doesn't? It does not affect the song AT ALL. Pretty stupid if you ask me. I don't let someone's religious affiliation affect what I think of them/their music...
