  • If you have a mechanical heart valve and the noise keeps you awake at night - but you DON'T want to use drugs or narcotics to sleep - you can purchase a non-addictive inexpensive, psychoacoustic audio recording titled "Heartbeat River" at cdbaby.com

  • amazing

  • i had open heart surgery in 1985 at upmc in pittsburgh by Dr. Bartley P. Griffith... i had a mitral and aortic artificial heart valves.... take care everybody! timalan63

  • you put the heart on CPB cardio pulmonary bypass and then you pour cold water to stop the heart

  • how do you get the heart to stop beating?

  • see if you are a candidate for a repair and not a replacement. Take care.

  • I think that surgery is better than heart replacement. Just imagine the amount of immunosupressant drugs you will take for your body not to reject the implant. Not to mention lifestyle changes =p
