Simple, easy target shooting. Also, its not loud at all, so you dont need ear protection.

I started out with a .22 pistol that a friend owns and I got a 1911 that was handed down from my family. The way to practice shooting pistols is to shoot a .22 first to know what you need to fix because there is no recoil. Then you can go to a big gun like my .45, which youll be much better at. Of course you can skip the .22 recommendation and buy a "Dirty Harry" revolver which is bad ass, dont get me wrong, but you won't be as accurate as you could be.
