On paris metro line 14 is fully automatic. At the last stop you are told to leave the train, but I stayed on. normaly the train goes up and comes back on the other platform, but this time the train carryed on to the end of the tunnel where it is taken out of service for the night. The train is a mp89 auto.

  • I heard that at the last station, the intercom DID state in plain English that the train will not haul passengers past the last station. You rode the train to an unauthorized section of the line that was not open to the public.

  • @Streetcar1743 It said that once the doors had already shut

  • How courageous you are!

Btw, are you local to Paris?

  • @kaede19940908 I live in the UK

  • what does the announcement say at the beginning?

  • @javierforbes2 "Attention please. This train is not for passengers."

This message was played after the doors had closed!

  • I had a similiar experience once, as I collected some train guides ("Zugbegleiter") at an Intercity train ending at Berlin. They usually stop for a while at the terminal, but in my case the train immediately left for the train depot at Rummelsburg some 5 km outside. So I had to climb down, look for a safe walk by the depot site and go back with S-Bahn

  • I'm glad you're safe!

  • @benobve Yes, and it could have been a mishap on the system. It should have annouced it before the doors closed. Now with me as a transit ambassador, when I spot something not right, l look for the car number and the run number it's on. That way it's easier for the maintenance guys to track it. Next time if that happens again, get down the car number you were in, and get the run number once you do get off at. The run number should be located by the windshield wipers and report the train.

  • OMG... you realized a childhood dream

  • @1230567b there is a movie called The taking of Pelham 123 remade as Pelham 123 based on the New York subway

  • thank goodness you got out beno! i would be absolutley petrified if that happened to me!

  • The same thing happened to me in Stockholm! The intercom said something in Swedish which I couldn't understand and a few people leapt out of the train. Those trains do have drivers but you can't walk between coaches. Eventually the driver walked through our coach on the way to the other end of the train in order to reverse it!

  • Nice You're tough my man! Try doing this in These Lines. Singapore North East Line,Circle Line, Downtown Line(Due 2012),Thomson Line(2015),Eastern Region Line(2022)
