Fallout 3 - Ol' Painless rifle. Where to find and how to get it (badass way). (HD)

This is a little known weapon in the game. It is not something outstanding-it's a hunting rifle-but if you collect special guns you must have it. You can find it in the ''Republic'' of Dave in the upper-right corner of the map. It's not necessary to make a massacre for taking it. You can talk with ''President'' Dave and with a high speech skiil persuade him to give you the key of his safe. Or, alternativaly, you can pickpocket it. The rifle does 26 damage (I have 75 skill in small guns), it is faster in loading and more accurate than an regular hunting rifle. And of course, it can be repaired with other hunting rifles.

How did you get Charon and Fawkes at the same time?

I kno how to get Charon. But how do u get that Fawkes guy? Ive never even heard of him till now. Where can i find him?

You must proceed in game's main quest and get in vault 87 (through Little Lamplight). There you will meet Fawkes staying as a prisoner in a cell. Release him and let the story go on. After your capture and release by the Enclave you will find him again in Raven Rock's exit and then you can take him as a follower.

That's pretty much the best way to get it. I only went to the RoD for the quest you get to kill Dave. I blew off his head and said, "Hey, why not steal all of his stuff?" :D

OR you could put a stealth boy on then crouch and pickpocket the key and get to safe STAY CROUCHED

@haltrix u repaaired a normal hunting rifle with the painless if u cant find a save before u did that ur not getting it back

@WyattLanz thats for the fort constane or wat ever and that ,,, thats where you get the t1-5b armor and i got it using a stealth boy cause i hadnt of finished the quest so i stole it lol
