@ramblux use a wide aperture. Get a 1.8 lens and you can shoot easily in low light and you can use availible lighting to get a good capture. Hope that helps. PM me if you need more info

yes D90 baby vs commercial video cam ... it handles low light like a charm !! specially if you have the right lens on it LOL see the D7000 have the wobly video, the D300s has it to .. even the canon has it .. so for the price range D90 beat them all LOL for a entry level professional or a thrifty semi broke professional this is the Cam to be !! Im currently using this and im loving it !!! i just dont see any reason why should i go to its mre expensive brothers D7000 or D300s

Alright people...the Nikon d90 or Canon 500d? Ive been hearing that the canon has more to offer and is a bit cheaper.

@BIGGERLebowski there is loads of evidence

God does make the seed grow......you just don't know how

how do you achieve that good quality without getting the noise?

Awesome video! Would you mind telling me how you were able to get such high quality capture in low light? Whenever I shoot video with my D90 in less than perfect lighting, I get tons of noise (even when using a hot light to illuminate the subject). Thanks for any info!
mmmh I see so much shape distortion when camera or subject is moving, still no time to buy this camera for its video quality and price, ok for pics. I still prefer spending 1/4 and using my dmcfz28, now the fz38 has stereo sound too.

there are problems with the d90 video, the skewing you noticed, strobing under flourescent lights and the rest, however these can be partially overcome with technique. on the other side, the low-light ability and shallow DOF you see in this sample would be very hard to replicate with any consumer-level camcorder. remember this isn't primarily a video camera. the video is just a "free gift" added to an excellent still DSLR i would have bought anyway.
