Hollyleaf isn't dead. In the fourth book of OOTS, Sign of the Moon, Hollyleaf made it out of the tunnels before she was crushed to death. Jayfeather and Lionblaze confirmed that when they went back into the tunnels after an accident.

Dovewing kinda slipped and a pebble or 2 came falling down. She didn't know where to go are what to do. So thats when Hollyleaf comes up. They clans must unite together and fight against Tigerstar and the darkforest. This is their last hope for peace. Sol is no good. He is trying to break them apart. Hollyleaf chases him away, he will be back he says. Firestar may die in this battle. Or will he? Would Brambleclaw really be the next leader or is he the fake?
