I seriously don't think MSG is that bad for you. Glutamate is an amino acid that is found in the body so you have receptors for it. Its been used as part of my cultures for years and no one is overweight or reactive to it in my household. Of course, too much of anything is bad. Its the same thing for sodium. What I would do is just cut out any processed foods. Once you eat non-packaged/processed foods, then you can control the amt of MSG intake by the amt you actually add to your meal.

There are great many other danger chemicals in foods than just MSG. Read your lables if you wana live.

One is Trans Fat. If the ingredients say "Partially Hydrogenated Oil", it contains trans fat, even if the label says "Contains 0 grams of Trans Fat", and in fine print "Per Serving". This is because the FDA allows printing the label this way IF the amount of trans fat PER SERVING is below a specific level. So just avoid anything that has the words "partially hydrogenated" in the ingredients! I saw one Dr., on TV who said that eating trans fats is more dangerous than having high cholesterol.
