This town was built by Saxons, but the Hungarians allowed them to settle down in Transsylvania (part of Hungary) in the XI-XII. century. The Hungarian kings gave to the Saxons many privileges (for example in taxation) so their towns was able to develope very quickly.
In Sighisoara was born Prince Dracula and leaved until the age of five.And is a ROMANIAN city!

Strictly ethnically speaking it was saxon(german) and was never inhabited by magyars.
