I am so so so so soooo sorry I haven't posted in such a long time! I've been sick.:( Well i won't keep you waiting any longer here it is:
~ an hour later~
*Joe's Point Of View(
I walked into Demi's room and found her staring out at the night sky. There were what seemed like thousands of tubes hooked up to her and her skin was chalk white. She had bruises all over her body, and there was dry blood in some places. I felt a bit dizzy as I slowly approached her bed.
'Hey...' I said a bit nervously.
She turned slightly to look at me. She struggled for a bit but managed to whisper Hi back. Her voice was so low I had to lean my head close to her bruised face to hear her.
'How are you feeling?' I asked, looking at her with concern.
'F-fine' she whispered. I looked at her bruises and raised my eyebrows.
*Normal Point Of View*
Demi: *whisper* H-how did y-you find me?
Joe: I was calling on your cellphone, when the little girl, Laura, picked up. She told me someone named Derek was hurting you...so i came over as soon as I could. She explained what happened, and i got into your room but no one was there, then I saw the light on in the bathroom, I kicked down the door and there you were....*voie trails off*
Demi: *closes eyes as she had flashbacks of what had happened* D-did you get h-him? Derek? Did y-you find h-him?
Joe: *shakes his head* Nobody was there other than Laura.
Demi *tries to hold back tears and hide her fear* Where's L-Laura? Is she o-okay?
Joe: She's fine, I brought her to my house and Nick was taking care of her. She's sleeping now.
Demi: *nods and gulps* I-is it t-true?
Joe: Is what true?
Demi: E-everything you s-said...before...when i was unconscious, about Selena,and Nick...
Joe: *nods and takes her hand* Your skin is so cold...*sees the cuts that she made on her wrists* D-did he do that?
Demi: *shakes her head and looks out the window again*
Joe: Why would you hurt yourself even more, after what he did to you?
Demi *Doesn't answer, keeps staring out the window and takes her hand away from him*
Joe: Demi, please talk to me...*touches her shoulder softly*
Demi:*has a flashback from what Derek did to her, screams* STOP!!!
Joe: *jumps back* I-i'm sorry..i didn't mean to hurt you..i--
Demi:*starts sobbing* J-just leave..please..
Joe: *gulps and nods* If you need anything, just call my cell i'll come as soon as possible. *leaves*
Demi: *cries into her pillow until she falls asleep*
~ A couple of days later; Demi's leaving the hospital~
Joe:Ok i got all your medicine for you. Are you ready to go?
Demi: *nods*
Joe: Come on then. *helps her into the car*
Demi:*whispers* Thanks.
Joe: No problem. *starts driving*
Demi: Where are we going? I don't want to go back to the orphanage..what if he came back? *starts tearing up*
Joe: Don't worry, you can stay at my place for as long as you want...Laura's already staying there, waiting for you.
Demi: Thank you.
Joe: Don't mention it.
~They arrive at the Jonas house~
Joe: *Helps Demi inside*
[a/n: She's still all beaten up, so sometimes she needs help walking and stuff..]
Laura:* sitting in the living room waiting for her* DEMI!!! *runs up and hugs her tight*
Demi *flinches* H-hey Laura. *kneels down and pushes her hair back* How are you?
Laura: I'm great, Nick has been taking such good care of me, he has some really fun games. He's my horsey! *giggles*
Demi: *smiles and looks up at Nick who is sitting on the couch watching them* Thank you for taking care of her.
Nick: No problem, how are you feeling?
Demi: *lying* good.
Nick: Sweet. So are you guys staying here?
Demi: Yeah, i guess so.
Laura: YAY! Nick get down on your knees NOW!
~Nick and Laura play horsey~ [a/n: lol]
Demi: So,um, where can I stay? I can sleep on the couch or--
Joe: Nobody's sleeping on the couch. We have a guest room..if you don't mind sharing with Laura...
Demi: I don't mind at all, and thank you, for everything.
