Well July 2 was good for different power, first up is H33 returning to the Reading Yard with units NS MP15DC 2415 and NS High Hood GP38-2 5158. Second comes H68 called to duty with NS Dash-8-39C 8620 running Long Hood Foward! His second unit is a NS Dash-9-40CW 9147. Third train at CP Prescott, passing H68 at work, is 19G with units NS SD70 2539 and NS Dash-8-40CW 8369. Last but not least, NS 36Q with a nice treat, 36Q is lead by a High Hood SD40-2!!! Units: NS High Hood SD40-2 3223, Conrail Blue NS SD50 5414, and NS Dash-9-40CW 9425. Enjoy this video, this kind of action doesn't come too often, and tune in to the next video and watch H68's long hood forward C39-8 do hard freight work!

  • Those look like Helpers either going to (or coming from) assist another train somewhere

  • @benschlechter i have seen a caboose on them before but this was two years ago and it was going into a swtich yard

  • @leapoffaith20 maybe he is picking up more cars on the way

  • 2 locos for 5 trailers?

  • I always loved seeing the switchers. The Southern RR used a lot of NW2 switchers even for road duty. I remember seeing 4 NW2s up front one time and after a few minutes I think I had turned around and started walking the other way. I started to hear a another rumbling noise.....it was another NW2 mid-train helper with a remote control car! I think the Southern RR got their moneys worth out of those switchers.

  • I love to stand on bridges and have trains come under ya and have that smoke (or what ever it is) come right up in ur face.

  • Any of these locomotives from the former Norfolk and Western or southern railways?

  • Just curious, if anyone from the railroad sees this, "How many of you miss seeing the caboose on the end of the train?"
