They have been making them at least sine the early 1960's...$3200 per unit in 1967...they are easy to maintain ans the one I know of still has the original engine and has not been rebuilt. The engine comes from West Germany.

wonder how long that thing would last running in salt water.. wheels probably rust off, wiring problems after the first month no doubt.

Salt water isn't as bad as people say, if you take care of your equipment. I've been running the same outboard in salt water for over 40 years, and the motor is still going strong.
