i've looked into putting a FF in my guitar and it costs a lot but for a quick pinch ur idea is pretty genius

Even though this vid is 3 years old....Recommend you increase the gate if you're gonna strum. That'll make the individual notes clearer.
You can reduce the gate for plucking to make the sound more...fuzzy :D
