This moving rendition of Tsaichovsky's "Romeo & Juliet" at the 2004 FOA evaluation still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this truly superior effort by an outstanding group of musicians at a unique time in JPT Orchestra's history. Their "Superior" rating is well-deserved. Nikk Pilato, Orchestra Director. Neil Jenkins, Director of Bands. JPTaravella HS, Coral Springs, FL, March, 2004
Hey Nikk-
Remember how I could never get that intro right?

This is fantastic, I'd forgotten this piece. Thanks for uploading these Randy.

Oh my. Never knew we had a video recording of this. Thanks for uploading it, Randy. I think I once sat down and counted how many full rehearsals (strings and winds) we had for this, and came up with something like 8.
Not bad for a high school group in its first year as a "real" symphony orchestra. You guys were great! Brings back so many fond memories.
Though it does make me cringe to see how "big" my conducting was back then ;-)
