This is pre- and postoperative video of a patient who underwent successful microvascular decompression for atypical hemifacial spasm. Surgical findings and technique are also shown.

This information has been taken from Microvascular decompression in patient with atypical features of hemifacial spasm secondary to compression by a tortuous vertebral-basilar system, a manuscript that can be read here: http://journals.lww.com/neurosurgery/Fulltext/2010/06000/Microvascular_Decomp... . It was submitted by corresponding author Jason Matthew Schwalb, MD, of the Department of Neurological Surgery, University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.
