A bomb went off in a market in Lahore killing 34 people, hours after a suicide bomber killed nine outside a court in Peshawar.
In Lahore, onlookers crowded the blast site where shopkeepers counted their losses.
[Mohammad Yasin, Shop Keeper]:
"All goods at my shop have been burnt up. I could only save myself and my children."
Left to pick up the pieces were the innocent.
Many were angered after hearing reports of people burning alive, with the majority of the victims women.
[Rehman Gul, Peshawar resident]:
"This bombing is mere tyranny, this should be stopped."
A further nine were killed in a blast in the eastern city of Multan earlier on Tuesday.
Pakistan's military, once a staunch supporter of Afghan militants, is now the victim of brazen Taliban insurgents on its own soil.
Northwestern Peshawar has suffered the most from retaliatory bombings that have killed hundreds of people since October.
