  • Just to clarify, you've got some of their names wrong:

Russell Moore, Scott Vestal, and Curtis Vestal. Scott and Curtis are brothers.

  • @JasonAndrewSmith1 ,

    You're right!

I knew that, but just gave the names as they were given in the subtitles.

I've made an adjustment which should clear things up.

    Thank you.

  • This is one awsome series of DL&Q! Thanks for posting!!

  • Yea, the sound mixing is way off. It is better in some of the other videos that are posted in this same location. They must have gotten it right eventually, I think this is the first song of the set.

  • exactly.

  • Doyle recorded it on Rock My Soul in 1981.His very first gospel recording

  • Yeah, the baritone vocal is hotter than the lead. There's nothing wrong with the singing, it's just that Russell should be out front in the mix, and he's not.

  • Hes not insulting the band, hes saying the sound guys (the guys controling the mics) didn't get it right. I know exactally what he means because I'm a bluegrass musician and our band always have these kind of problems with sound guys. They can make even the best sounds off because 90% of them are total idiots!

I agree with MFJ says about the sound guys, they got the vocal mics really screwed up here. Thats not Doyle's fault.
