I don't know...the deeply strange parts of his character that make him feel compelled to train hop, or travel with mujahadeen in Afghanistan, or smoke crack with prostitutes seems to be so buried beneath a friendly, normal affect. I think you'd need to spend at least a week with him to start getting an idea of what goes on in that head. Any less time and he'd just seem like any polite, smart guy. That's my impression anyway.
