  • The music is beautiful and sublime, as most works of John Williams are. However, the message is wrong. There can be no lasting peace between Jew and Arab. Three and a half thousand years of bitter animosity is not cured by the latest world initiative (all of which have failed) or American presidential plan for peace. Give the Arabs the world and the Jews an Island and the Arabs will still try to annihilate their half-brothers.

  • Hauntingly beautiful. Gives me shivers up and down my spine.

  • Beautiful...and moving.

  • As long as the Jewish spirit is yearning deep in the heart, With eyes turned toward the East, looking toward Zion, Then our hope - the two-thousand-year-old hope - will not be lost: To be a free people in our land, The land of Zion and Jerusalem. Kol ode balevav P'nimah - Nefesh Yehudi homiyah Ulfa'atey mizrach kadimah Ayin l'tzion tzofiyah. Ode lo avdah tikvatenu Hatikvah bat shnot alpayim: L'hiyot am chofshi b'artzenu - Eretz Tzion v'Yerushalayim.
  • @camotim May you recognise the I AM, light that exsist in all of us. Through this, we can aquire the super human courage to understand the madness of human division - we ALL are,THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.

  • I feel, perhaps a bit idealistically, that Israelis and the Palestinians need to just move on from a conflict that is nearing its century mark. The Israeli government especially needs a resolution: Israel has been losing the public-relations battle for quite some time, and its position in the Middle East could become even more precarious because of the Arab democratic revolutions popping up all around Israel. The blame game needs to stop.

  • too many msulims, too few bullets

  • @mwall444 Not all Arabs and Palestinians. Be careful. There are many Pro-Israel and even Christian Arabs and Palestinians who have prayed to see Israel refounded for a long time.

  • @generalako MWall is right. Philista is Palestine (Pleshet). There arere a few Pleshetim and Arabs who have understood that Yisra'el belongs to Yisra'el and even prayed to see Yisra'el refounded as a state and regrouped as a nation. I am not saying that what Yossi Harel, Meir Kahane, Avigdor Lieberman, and their ilk have done is right; but either way, the prayers have been heard and answered, and the prophecies are being fulfilled. Even the evil of Yossi Harel et. al. was used for good.

  • These two men are the main reasons I always wanted to play the strings. Alan Menken made me want to play music; Williams and Perlman narrowed it down for me. Beautiful work.

  • @mwall444 Which in its own way perpetuates the Jewish victim complex and gives self-righteous justification to the mistakes and misdeeds on Israel's part.
