Thanks for posting this! My Mom spent some time working here during her highschool years. from about 1961-63. Her uncle J.E. Churchwell built Long Beach Resort. The Hangout was gone by the time I got old enough to remember it. Thanks Again! Love this video!
I remember the Hang Out, and the whole Panama City Beach experience back before they destroyed it.
The Hang Out didn't last much beyond my teenage years. I remember once, when I was pretty young walking past it with my parents (who were in their 30s at the time), and they were concerned about whether we kids might observe some 'dirty dancing' going on inside, LOL
My first memory of The Hang Out is when I was only 5 years old and my parents took my younger sister, Linda and our baby sister, Bobbie to PC Beach for the first time. Shortly after, our parents built our very own beach cottage there. When I became a teenager, I spent my spring and summer breaks there at house parties with my high school sorority, the Debonaires. I can still hear my favorite singer from the '60's, Barbara Lewis on the jukebox singing Hello Stranger & Think A Little Sugar.
I remember the Hang Out. I loved it. I still remember listening to Sweet Inspiration on the Juke Box. I'd love to go back to the summer of 1968! Remember the Ferris Wheel? My Uncle has video from 1950's. What a great time we had.

Wish I was there now! Take me back to '62. I want to dance to Arthur Alexander.
