  • What a nice guy.

  • I was lucky enough to have him prematurely land his "Solo Challenger" flight about a half mile from my house in Jan/06 I had heard he was in the area and "in trouble", so was keeping an eye out for his balloon.I went outside to take another look and there he was about 1000' up and decending. His silverey ballon was in tatters but he landed safely. I videoed the landing and sold the video to ABC News for $1000 and they aired it on World News Tonight with Peter Jennings and also Nightline. RIP

  • i'm sure steve fosset would of rather have not of died prematurely but he would also of thought it was worth it for the adventures he had

  • murve says - if there is a man alive right now that has half the strength of character and depth of adventure as Steve Fossett.... Please show yourself.
