In gas stoichiometry volume ratios can be figured using the coefficients of balanced equations in much the same way that coefficients of balanced equations can be used for mole ratioes. In this problem you will see how PV = nRT is used to find moles of a gas. The volume is not proportional to the NH4NO3 because that substance is a solid. That is why you need moles of N2O. Once you have moles of N2O, you can use the coefficients to find the moles of NH4NO3. Since the "Find" is asking for grams, you then use the molar mas to convert moles of NH4NO3 to grams.
