In this true made-for-tv movie Sybil Goldrich (Mary Mcdonnell) has breast cancer and reconstructive surgery; Kathleen Anneken (Gail O'Grady) chooses to have breast implants. They both suffer from symptoms they were not warned about. Who would have guessed the drug companies and the medical community are hiding something from the public with the government's endorsement? The two join forces to fight the system, at the same time dealing with their different socio-economic backgrounds, "style" and families.

  • I know the husband meant well when he said it didn't matter to him if she didn't have breasts... but to a woman (and I speak as one ;) ) breasts are a part of our womanhood, part of our identity. Not having them would be... I couldn't even think about it.

  • "The nurse can give you the number of one of my other patients?" Ah, the days before HIPAA....

  • @Brooke684 Hello: so sorry to hear about your situation. I wanted to let you know that I am a female, US citizen. My name 77ukraine was chosen because I have traveled three times to Ukraine for missionary service with orphans and for English/Bible teaching and I was born in Ohio in 1977.

My dream is to rescue Ukrainian orphans...I have to say I don't have as much help as Sybil did in this film with vision and purpose. So, it is moving very slowly, if at all, which saddens me.

  • @77ukraine - I'm of Ukranian descent. My grandmother came here, to the States, when she was just a girl, but could only speak Russian at first. My sister, who loves to travel (one of my cousins too) goes there every few years - we still have family there. They are very "third-world," no indoor plumbing, etc. My sister, who's very gorgeous, met and married a Ukranian guy. He wanted to come to the States so badly, but he basically, married her to attain U.S. citizenship ... Perhaps you're him?

  • The daughter in the plaid shirt looks like a younger version of my friend Tania in Ukraine!

  • so far good movie..thank you....

  • god i would love to have a husband thats so supportive! its great! and i love mary!

  • A little bit of trivia: Nicholas Survoy was on All My Children quite a few years ago as a love interest for Erica Kane. He played the role of Mike Roy.

  • This movie is actually called "Two small voices" ... ;)
