I saw this movie for the first time a few days ago and I must say now I understand why Sidney Poitier and Katherine Hepburn are such legends. This was such an amazing film I loved every bit. And the girl who plays Joanne/Joey was great also

@rulerwithcounsel That's so.....TRUE!

Jewish movie to promote race-mixing, mingling of blood and destroying your inheritence. Only morons condone mongrelisation.

@rulerwithcounsel : Have you met god, because I am curious, did he/she tell you that only those who come form Israel are his/her children? I feel so sad for you, how miserable a life you must lead. If you were truly god's child you would know the truth and that is god is love. So if you were truly god's child wouldn't you have love in your heart?

@rulerwithcounsel : There may be psychical damages in India, Africa etc but those mental damages are with people like you. The body is only aspect of your being. The soul and mind are much more important. You have a sick and twisted mind and your heart is full of hate. I rather be starving than be like you. You have no idea what you are doing to yourself and for that reason alone I cannot hate someone so ignorant.

I wasn't born yet when this movie was originally released. Does anybody recall the producers, actors, or other people associated with it claiming to be advocates of "traditional marriage?" That seems very hard for me to believe, and yet Republicans are making that claim often these days...
Wow Rulerwithcounsel, what a piece of crap you are. This movie was a model of what we should all come to realize....that we are all children of God and the only difference is pigmentation. It's sad that you are so consumed with hate that you can't see clearly. And then to try to quote the bible by bending and twisting it to fit your distorted vision. What a crock.

this was the first "old" movie I watched and I was so overwhelmed by how much truth and emotion it had! You're so very much surrounded by all these repetitive hollywood films nowadays, especially as a teenager, that when you watch a genuinely good film, it's so inherently obvious! I was left smiling when it finished and I only watched the last half! It honestly felt so magical and since I haven't been able to tear myself away from the classics. What happened to the industry?
