Wesley Snipes headed to prison

Wesley Snipes will spend the next three years of his life behind bars. The 45-year-old actor was sentenced yesterday as punishment for failing to file his tax returns. Snipes apologized to his family, the court and the community. Prosecutors say he owes a total of $41 million in taxes.

Carmen Electra and her boyfriend guitarist Rob Patterson are making it official. The actress's rep says the pair got engaged last weekend. Patterson apparently proposed while the two were in Las Vegas celebrating her birthday. Sources say he got her a ring with a black diamond set in white diamonds. The rocker and Electra have been dating for less than a year.

Rapper Snoop Dogg is now allowed in Britain. A British judge reportedly rejected the government's decision to deny Snoop Dogg a visa to get into the country. The rapper was reportedly involved in a fight in London's Heathrow airport in 2006. The government argued that his presence would be "non-conducive to the public good."

Madonna is shining a light on orphans in the African country of Malawi through her new documentary. The pop star premiered her work called "I am Because we are" in New York last night at the Tribeca Film Festival. Madonna is in the process of adopting an orphan from Malawi. She met the boy nearly two years ago while making the film.

Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow took to the red carpet last night for the premiere of "Iron Man" in London. The comic book hero adventure is the story of a genius inventor played by Downey who works for the government and creates a suit of armor to fight crime as Iron Man. Paltrow plays Iron Man's assistant. The movie opens in the U.S. next Friday.

Snipes had every right to not pay them taxes. We should all make this an example that the government will fuck anybody they please. Its against our constitutional rights not to file income taxs. There is no law or statute that requires you to pay federal income tax. And because of this in many states you do not have to pay as well. This is a fact that so few people realize. You have been conned by the banker owned Federal Reserve and their collection agency IRS.

fortune 500 companies owe taxes that are 10 times as much a lot of times and no one goes to jail and they end up paying 10-20% of what they actually owed, if they paying anything at all!! House arrest, probation, property seizures, and allowing him to work and pay would've been a much better move if guilty.

I don't understand you...I like Wesley and love his movies, but how could he have been so stupid..He earned millions of dollar, but refused to file pay income taxes...justice is served in this case. I have a modest income, but I dish out 40% in income taxes, have a huge mortgage, credit card debts, car loans, etc. The IRS is not the department you want to fool around with..whether they are right or wrong, you have to pay or go to jail.
