Age Of Discovery features outstanding JPL footage of the Mars Curiosity Rover mission, set to an original analog soundtrack recorded on the Roland Juno-6 two decades earlier.

The public domain source footage is from a single 5:40 source reel, courtesy of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which was nipped and tucked down to 4:33 to fit this previously-unreleased Lyn Faber rarity recorded in the Poughkeepsie brownstone lab of Lyndon Lorenz around 1993 using the Roland TR707 rhythm composer and two tracks from the Juno onto multitrack cassette via the Fostex X30.

  • Ha! I do have a "Cygnus Mix 1" remix from the mid-1980s, but the tape is so degraded that I don't think it can be salvaged
