  • @atutchen

thats because its all the same

  • If you guys wanna to jazz it up, use c melodic minor in between. It's the 5th mode of melodic minor. Also known as 'G mixolydian (w b6th)'.

  • such a good work man! Really a good taste!! The best backing trax on u-tube!

  • you can also use beside thies mode C Ionian or B locrian ,that sounds cool

  • Grooooovyyy babyyy!

  • @dann3th3manni3 right on!

  • @jimguitarman27 Yes, both the modes contain the same notes, but there is a difference in tonality. What I mean is, when you're playing in the key of G Mixolydian, G is your root note. In the key of C Major, C is your root note. Both of these tonalities have a different feel and sound. Try playing in G Major pentatonic vs. C Major pentatonic and notice the difference. Try focusing on the notes G, B, D, and F (G7 arpeggio) while improvising as opposed to C, E, and G (C Major arpeggio).

  • I'm not really getting modes...surely you just use C major scale for this track, as, G mixolydian is the 5th mode of C major. Whats the difference in playing G mixolydian as opposed to just C major? I'm confused, please help

  • i used g mixolydian, pentatonic minor n major + d pentatonic minor and dorian to jam!!

  • WOW! Your tracks surpass all others on YouTube. Thank you!
