Maggots in the Rice Cooker

I have gotten into the unsavory habit of not cleaning my rice cooker immediately after use; and since I rarely use the rice cooker nowadays, there is much time for the leftover contents inside to ferment, and to transform: into maggots. I do not appreciate my electrical cooking appliance being used as a petri dish so I've learned my lesson in cleanliness.

What probably happened was, while you were eating you left that open and the flies came and laid their eggs into your rice, and ew ...I hope you didn't ended up eating some eggs too...I'm sorry, but unwanted food need to be throw right way, dishes washed right way, and trash out of the house daily on the the hotter seasons or that's what you get! Those maggots are disgusting and full of bacterias which can cause several types of disease go search...be safe!
