Wow I love this song, I put on headphones and closed my eyes fell asleep immediately lol. And as for the moon topic, I thought I heard recently that scientists believe the moon actually broke off from our own planet. Realized it had no core and had the same materials found here on earth. I don't know, that's just what I heard.

@Noise509 no, I worded that wrong, I mean that since both the earth and the moon are round, they formed in the same manner, Phobos and Deimos aren't because they're captured asteroids, and the spherical planets and moons are spheres because they're a bunch of asteroids that collided together through the dust cloud that circled our sun soon after it was formed, and it's a very slow process, even the moon took more time than us humans have had alive to form
-
@boredomofboredom So you're saying the only reason the moon is round....is because the Earth is round?
Explain why Phobos and Deimos are both non-spherical.
The reason our moon is a sphere is because of its mass, not its origin.
-
@Noise509 if that were true out moon wouldn't be round, but more rugged, like an asteroid, since it is round much like the earth, it formed from a collision with the earth, I remember scientists saying when mars was forming a chunk of it collided with earth, and the moon formed form that

@keracat Search "Greek time before the moon" on Google. It should be the first one, "The Earth Without the Moon". I find those sort of topics really interesting.
-
@olekristor where did you hear this... I heard we got our moon from another planet colliding with ours?
-
@Noise509 where did you hear this? Cause I'm writing a book about such a time and what the Earth would be like and that would be amazing info to have.
-
@olekristor Oddly enough, the ancient greeks spoke of a time before the earth had a moon, not as myth or legend, but as if it was part of their history. Just throwing that out there.
-
I suspect it was in the earth's youth yes, too bad it didn't survive to this day.
-
@olekristor So was it before the dinos or something? Because that kind of collision would have some serious catastrophic messes concerning tsunamis and volcanoes etc.
Pictures like this make me wish this planet had more than one moon.
