my first super 8 test reel shot with a canon 514XL on kodak 64t ektachrome then transferred to dvd. came out pretty dark, brightened up a bit in editing, manual aperture adjustments will have to be made, resolution lost in dvd trasfer, probably go with mini dv in the future. i swear the title said "TheTestReeL" in editing, i have no idea what happened in uploading that made the 'L' vanish

    dont see too much of a problem except for some lighting issues..its always appears darker,(interiors) theres also special film "Tungeon"(something) for inside...seems you never have enough light through the lens.

    also try shooting around 9am to 3pm or for exteriors and the Fall has best lighting..

    think this wasnt the greatest transfer..you should look into is this process called Telecine(cheaper and decent)best transfers (more $) is RANK (a digital image of each frame) try that to DVD
