Interesting, Bunny! Originally tho, this scene WAS "He Whistled At Me", not "Make Up My Heart", so the musical phrase was an echo of the song that Pearl had just sung... But yes, Electra's not what she's looking for. But then, he has such star presence and he's personally come to collect her - how many girls could refuse that?!

There's an interesting bit of symbolism (intentional or otherwise) when Electra comes to fetch her. The tune used is "Engine of Love"/"He'll Whistle at Me." Even though both versions of the melody praise steam engines, it's used for an electric, who is not Pearl's original dream man--uh, train. Electra can't whistle, but (in this version) this is a song about whistling. It's a subtle detail, showing how Electra seems to be the one she wants, but he's really just a counterfeiit love interest.

Oh nice :)
Do you know, who is Pearl?
I think I just became a fan of hers all over again.
