  • I don't like the siren on the MOW equipment. People associate those sirens with emergency vehicles, and I think they should remain exclusively reserved for emergency vehicle use. It's bad enough that you see the red, white and blue strobing lights on construction and utility trucks nowadays, they used to always only be for police and ambulance, and amber was for construction and utility vehicles. I hate when I'm driving and I see those strobe lights thinking its a cop, and it's just a truck.

  • Cool heavy equipment utilized by the Railroad. Love the siren to warn the public when nearing a crossing. Safety first !! Thanks for posting

  • I find this rather funny :)

  • That crossing arm nearly cleared your head off lol.

  • Screw those who dislike this video. Keep 'em coming Anthony.

  • I like Federal Signal, they make good tornado sirens (the 2001-AC and Thunderbolt 1003 come to mind but thats off topic). Thats a nice video you've got there of one of their emergancy vehical sirens.

  • This is what we call the railroad police.

  • (people in neighborhood look around) who called the ******* cops!?!?

  • Tripod?

  • @legsbluetrain Like I said, the laws vary from state to state. In KY, law enforcement is blue, fire/EMS is red, white is misc. amber is public works/utilities, and green is security...

  • @iceman977th go to TX or MO,I've seen blue and red on DOT trucks in TX,and on a tow truck in MO,from left to right, red, yellow, yellow, blue.Saw a contractor truck in MO,all blue.

  • @iceman977th I have seen RWB strobe lights on some non-emergency vehicles such as DOT and MOW trucks. I always understood it to be red (or RWB) for fire/EMS, blue (or RWB) for law enforcement, and amber for all others, but now it seems like anybody can use the RWB lights. Maybe it's not legal, but I swear I have seen the RWB or red and blue together on non-emergency vehicles before, and it drives me nuts when I see it thinking it's EMS or law enforcement and it's just some contractor truck.
