Rep. Judy Chu, D-CA32, introduced a resolution to the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday, Jan.21, 2010 urging her colleagues to do more to help combat the unrelenting violence in Mexico between the government and violent drug cartels, violence that on Dec. 31, 2010 claimed the life of Agustin Roberto "Bobby" Salcedo, a rising star and community leader in Rep. Chu's 32nd Congressional District. Salcedo, 33, an educator and school board member, was murdered along with five other men after being dragged out of a restaurant by unknown assailants while Salcedo was visiting family in the city of Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico. Salcedo, who had no ties to drug traffickers, became the first U.S. elected official murdered in Mexico's years' long drug war.
A resolution without defined direction. - Who would she contact. What is to be done. This seems like something that looks great in quotes on a fund raising flyer and needed to be said for that reason only.

Legalize and regulate marijuana, it is at least 30% of their profits. Only stemming the cash flow has any impact.
