If you use launch control in either car yes hit the brakes and gas at the same time, but there are electronics at play there. Once you let off the brake the car's computer engages the clutch just right and whoosh. This is not like power braking on a muscle car with an auto transmission...

Sorry with the GT-R you can't us the "brake to boost up the turbos"... Doing that does nothing to improve acceleration, though launch control does help...

@jnmunsey Actually it does help acceleration since you have boost in your turbos before you even take off and you dont have to wait until the turbos kick in. Doing this avoids turbo lag but it is not as good as the launch control is.
If you still wanna argue me then please explain why 997 turbo tiptronic is faster 0-60 than stick shift -- because you can boost up the turbos with the brake lol
Drive more turbocharged cars....

Does the 996 have launch-control like the gtr??

nope, 996 just floored it without using the brake, GTR used brake to boost up the turbos, thats why he jumped like that...
