Classic late 1960's Danforth Marine anemometer. These were quite popular in the marine industry in the 1960's and 1970's. Very hard to find. Still working strong after 40+ years of use.

  • Yes. I have a collection of the hardest to find 1950's & 1960's anemometers! It takes a lot of time and patience to find them, they are out there. Thanks for the comment!

  • This type of model with the rain shield was made from 1961 to 1970 per Danforth/ Danforth/White catalog. Previous sensors were made from the mid 50's until early 1960 with out rain shield by Wilfrid O. White & Son. The sensor was re-designed in 1971 to plastic cups, smaller generator housing, and 250 degree meter movement with 0-100 mph vs. older 0-25/ 0-120 mph meter scale

  • Are all these antique anemometers your own? If they are you're really lucky to own them. They're awsome!
