Looking at some of the posts on here I am astounded that many do not accept that Stafford nailed White on John 17:3 and that White was doing some fancy scriptural footwork and eventually fell over his own feet.
It was like listening to a politician stumble about misdirecting the listeners by changing the subject.
Stafford was right to pin him down and not let White of the hook by using John17:5, which is clearly a different subject to who the only true God is.
Wonderful stuff

@kaboomgoo I agree with you.!!!!

It's clear that Greg doesn't understand Jn.17:3.He doesn't notice that the question,who is the only true God in Jn.17:3 destroys his own theology that Jesus is a god (Jn.1:1 NWT).I don't see any problem with Jn.17:3,if JW simply believe that Jesus has godly attributions and not God,the question is where did his Godly attributions come from?If he doesn't have the kind of God-ship the Father has,second question question is:does the bible teach that there are different God-ships?I don't know a vs.

You are completely wrong about Jews and polytheism. The Jewish culture of the OT was clearly Henotheist. A lot of the Jews in Egypt were polytheist.

Stafford got owned.

@kdurston1 What white said made no sense scripturally unless you believe also that Jesus could keep secrets from himself. It's hard to imagine anyone believing in such nonsense.
this is why scholars have no respect for JW "scholarship." it is completely intellectually dishonest in it's treatment of data.

Where was Stafford Intellectually dishonest? If anything, it is White who refused to answer Stafford's questions honestly. He preferred to dodge questions to uphold his dogma, then uphold Bible truth.
