  • Lloyd Cole wrote this song for an obscure movie called My Beautiful Landrymat which was a small film about a Gay Desi and a English Yabo and the reactions their families go through on it. What is absolutely cool is that (especially on the LP version) he wrote the swirling computer track first and then danced around the riff building the track on layer after another. That is a legitimate way to make music---play 8 notes over and over and something will come of it!!!

  • i saw lloyd cole & the commotions in 1986 at the Melbourne Concert Hall (Australia) on 5th May. Love Lloyd Cole. There is not mostly a single day goes by I dont listen to them .. .. ..ritual daily walk the dog mostly Love Mainstream. Love The Cure too.
