..we all have history class, you know. We learn about the gulf of Tonkin and Watergate and all that. we're not stupid. actually, curriculum focuses almost entirely on his faults, and doesn't say much at all about what he did good.

Not meaning to make anyone feel stupid at all. Was just a suggestion to see if you could get a hold of some of the news of the time. Dinnertimes at our house were discussions of what "tricky dicky" was up to that day. We didn't have an TV in our house, so public radio was our source. I was in high school during his presidency.
