@1984ioc The Irish people are content to be represented in the European Parliament which sits in Brussels, Belgium and Strasbourg, France.

I think many in the north of Ireland want to remain politically British and represented in a British parliament for much the same reasons as many in the south of Ireland want to remain politically European and represented in a European parliament.

Why are Britons brainwashed to want the anti-British UK and not a British republic? BBC royal propaganda.

@Noddy1690 You do realise that the majority on mainland Britain dont want ye anymore dont you.Im not wumming im speaking the truth.Ye have cost London and the exchequer an absolute fortune over the last 40 years and they send over troops who would be better served elsewhere.Ye are perfectly entitled to want to remain but dont ye feel a little stupid not being wanted by the mainland and isnt it sort of weird being governed by a foreign parliment.II wouldnt be happy to be ruled by paris for exampl

@Noddy1690 These days, majorities tend to wish for what their TV tells them to wish for.

If Ulster TV is freed from UK rule and is allowed to support a republic so will the majority of people in Ulster.

Scottish soldiers would serve Scots better by protecting us from the Queen's rule than from ourselves. It is not treason to the Scots to rebel against the UK crown.

@ScottishStandard The majority of people in Ulster wish to remain within the United Kingdom. Scottish soldiers have historically played a huge part in protecting the people of Scotland from rebellious and treasonous groups.

@ScottishStandard Additional. The consort of the sovereign or heir to the throne is always fair game in a republican war of liberation.

So Prince Philip (well that old Nazi is high-ranking military anyway), Princess Diana, Camilla Duchess of Cornwall and Kate Middleton all walked into the firing line and only have themselves to blame if they become "collateral damage" as the primary target royals are eliminated.

Why should we die for them? It is about time they did some of the dying!

@Noddy1690 One man's "murdering terrorist" is another man's "freedom fighter". In war, it becomes harder to see the humanity in our enemies, yet we must try.

Sinn Fein represent many more civilians than soldiers.

Scottish soldiers should serve the Scots primarily and should not impose the Queen's rule on anyone - neither in Ulster nor in Scotland.

Republicans don't target civilians, only cowards do that.

War is hell and thank goodness for the peace process.

@ScottishStandard Many Scottish soldiers have been murdered by republican terrorists and Sinn Fein are the political representatives of these terrorists. Many Ulster Scots have been killed by republicans.
