  • What type of camera was the interview and the film shot with? A Panny HVX, Sony EX, JVC GY or another?

  • @tieuellegacy -- I'm not sure, it was shot in 2008 under the leadership of a different editor than me. However, now we shoot on a Bloggie HD and a Canon XL. Thanks for the question!

  • Finally an engaging, intelligent film that shows a different facet of young black Americans. I could totally relate to the people in this movie more so than those stupid god-forsaken "Tyler Perry" films...ugh!. Any who, thanks Barry Jenkins for making such an amazing film and not being just another stereotype. We so need more people like you.

  • Can't wait to buy the soundtrack

  • Great Movie Barry. Thank You for being complex...yet simple.

  • This was a great movie. I love how it didn't portray stereotypical and generalized black people. It showed how there are black people that interested in fine arts and alternative culture as well as a variety of other things. The characters were very intelligent and unique in their own right. Great job Barry. Where can I watch your other movies?

  • @FilmCatcher1 Got it. Thanks for that response. Tieuel Legacy!

  • I thought the girls "post race" stance was flatly hypocritical. Considering she is being supported entirely by a white male boyfriend, her "post race" moralizing comes from ignorance or convenience, as it always has.

When it doesn't bother you that class and race and obviously attached to each other a stance of "post race" is just one of denial. Obama hasn't changed gentrification i don't see why Micah should bury his head in delusion because other choose to group think

  • This movie is really really interesting, one of the movies you have to watch to understand america

  • By the way great movie I will tell everyone I know about it
