About 90% of my videos dealing strictly with Linux receive masses of "fanboi" spam. I just thought I'd throw my two cents in there.

Note: This is my manifesto. What is yours? Leave a comment or a video response!

P.S.: Gimp tut will hopefully be up by the end of this week.

  • The biggest reason i use Linux is that I'm not prepared to pay for my OS, and I'm not prepared to support pirate software.

Having a OS free of charge that still gives me all i want and need to for my everyday life is the reason i use Linux.

And on another lvl, i kinda like the rather anarcistic structure of the open source world. Take what you want and do what you want, and share.

  • I agree 100%!

  • linux is a nice os, but i cant chose it til games become native to the os :x

  • Yeah, I am totally with you on that. That's also one of the reasons, I still use other OSs. Emulation isn't the real deal. Native games is what we need.

  • I was once a Windows user. Now I use Ubuntu Linux 100% of the time. It is a truly magnificent OS.

  • @TheIndustrialphreak just a major inconvinience for me that games are primarely released for pc.

theyr sorta starting to appear on mac too

  • @FusionNinjin I dont know about that. commercial games are okay, I just find them rather boaring. and to add insult to injury i dont feel like purchasing a piece of software and finding it to be a real turd or having to pay for DLC or for the privilege to play with others on-line, let alone be shackled by oppressive DRM/content management like STEAM. Its a novel idea concerning the steam service. but give me a break.

  • Linux is frustrating >:(

  • Leenix?

  • @FusionNinjin Linux isn't an operating system; it's a kernel. The operating system is referred to as a "distribution" that uses the Linux kernel, such as Ubuntu, Fedora, et cetera.

  • Well said.

  • kool vid !

    gnu/linux rocks !!!

  • Wow ... you just made me think. Yes Linux was the first OS I chose to use, not forced to like all other OS. Very nice
