  • Every WHITE guy wanted to start a new rock band!! Dip shit!! Don't say anything unless you know what the hell you are talking about!! This goes to the commentator of the video!!! Proud and brown!!!

  • @SammyBee1957 "It SEEMED like every young white high school-aged male wanted to start a band." Taken out of context and not meant to be a racist remark. This was a local program about Chicago-area garage bands of the 60's, and the commentator, Bob Sirott, is correct.

  • Does anyone know who the two lead singers are? I know there were changes in band members throughout the years and it's hard to recognize some of their faces on the video.

  • @mzklover See the recent reply from ChicagoGold66 :)

  • @bze2nlz1

Thanks for the update! Also, I just noticed that I inadvertently replied to Godzie1 instead of you after you replied to my first post! Can't believe I did that!

  • @mzklover Oh, not to worry, I've done THAT too, lol :D

  • I liked Mercy, Mercy by the Buckinghams over their other songs.

  • WIND started playing rock in 1959 along with the hit parade stuff. (No black artists though) I switched over to WLS in 1961 and WCFL in 1967.

  • Great Anthology of Chi Town 60.s music.I was living in Rockford through the sixties and got to see almost all of these bands because they played Rkfd. What a joy to grow up in the middle of all this exciting rock music evolution.WLSs & WCFL were king. What great memories !

  • I grew up in the L.A. area in the sixties and seventies with great local Music But I always Knew Chicago had Great Kick-ass MUSIC!

  • the buckinghams had some great songs and were the best dressed band of the 60's in my opinion.

  • Dennis Tufano was the lead singer of the Buckinghams. He is still active today with a growing fan base.

  • Jerry Smith was our C BRUNO distributor, and we at THE MUSIC SHOPPE in Wheeling Il thought the world of him

  • Ronnie Rice was the main singer
