i remember standing on the sidewalk when this song started playing on my ipod. it was rush hour at downtown so traffic was motionless and the sun started to set so it gave everything a goldish , yet aged look it seemed as if the world stood still for that 6 minutes. it may sound very minor to those of you reading this but that moment was almost magical.

This song transports, and Phillip Glass thought enough of it (and Low and "Heroes") to create symphonies around them. I believe this song, and the Low album is the best, BEST album of the 1970's. It covers so much ground brilliantly, and Subterraneans is a gorgeous example of just how.
