Mozart's final completed sacred work was written on 17 June 1791, for the feast of Corpus Christi at the request of Anton Stoll, choirmaster at Baden where Mozart was visiting with his wife Constanze.

Hail the true body,
born of the Virgin Mary:
You who truly suffered and were sacrificed
on the cross for the sake of man.
From whose pierced flank
flowed water and blood:
Be a foretaste for us
in the trial of death.

I have always wanted to sing 'Ave Verum' It was the only good thing I learned at my convent school. I was alloted the alto line. So for Easter I have experimented with singing all four parts myself. It was very hard to do as recording part song requires perfection of tempo and accurate pitch. Also my equipment would give sound enthusiasts hysterics but it works for me and I have the luxury of time.

Being a soprano I had difficulty with the bass line. It was either too high or too low but except of one passage which I will try re editing one day I have done my best.

Happy Easter to all my Christian friends.
