Review: Cruise Distractingly Bad in `Valkyrie'

Cruise is fine in this. The critics and media were unable to separate his real-life issues from the performance here, and an otherwise fine film suffered because of it.

Really deserves more recognition then it got, though i think it eventually did limp it's way close to 100 million.

What does Hollywood have against non-English languages in their movies? I mean look at Inglorious Bastards, that movie was spoken 60 percent in French and German and it was great.

well first because the movie are made in USA and besides, you have to force all actors to learn another languages? so i bet they'll ask more payment, double or triple..

she needed to learn how to pronounce Valktrie she was saying tolding wrong

oh yea just to remind people this was a HOLLYWOOD movie don't let the accents bug you, if you want to watch a good hitler flick with the german language I highly recommend Downfall

I know what she means when she says his icon status is distracting, and yes he could had tried to be a little less tom cruuisy, but it didn't bug me that much to be honest, and I disagree that singer didn't have enough suspense, are you fucking kidding me I watched it about an hour ago and my nerves are still shot, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, fucking awesome.

I approached this movie expecting the worst, yes it doesn't have the "Realism" of Downfall, i.e. spoken in German, but if you can get past that it does justice to its subject matter and tells a story that deserves to be more widely known.
