No, this movie wasn't good at all .Actually, it was all around (you guessed right) Tom Cruise. And I am so sick that Cruise has always look like the good guy, even within the nazi entourage. I know without him this film could have not be made the way it was, but his performance was abnoxious.

It exists a better german picture about " Operation Valkyrie " with absolute wonderful german actors, made a few years before this Hollywood-Nonsens. The real story of the german army resistance was much more thrilling then Hollywood every could imagine.

excellent and Cruise actually does a good job. Is Cruise a piss-ant in real life? Probably. But I don't have to live with the guy. I just want to see actors do good work, in a well written film, and Valkyrie delivers.

If you take a side veiw of tom cruise and stauffenbergs side veiw, they look almost alike. Cruise did quite well in this movie.

The Fucking idiots who reviewed this film are so retarded its not even funny the film was great he wasnt even that bad and its not even tom cruises film its an importent story that everyone should see most of the actors in this film is great.

A bit harsh, but I found Cruise more convincing at the end of the movie. In fact, the plot and the quality of the rest of the cast make it possible for almost anyone to play Von Stauffenberg.

I agree , I said this long before I ever saw this review. Tom Cruz simply does not have/ command the presence of a German officer , was not right for this roll. What was needed was the guy that played the hit man in the Condor , the Austrian, that precise ,coldblooded cool that commands fear and respect ,that is ever present in Prussian/German mentality, you just know it when you see it , and to see it go to Life magazine dated 11/22/1942 , and you will see what I mean.
