In this video, I'll show you how to backup (which should be done regularly, in any case, so that you don't risk losing all of your hard work) a Wordpress (hosted) blog and move it to another domain/ server (host).

All of the plugins, etc. mentioned in the video can be found at:

http://tr.im/WP_Move

along with the video itself.

This is the first in a new series of videos I'll be doing about Wordpress just like the ones already on my channel. I had recently received a comment from a viewer who was confused about how different the Wordpress admin looked. The viewer is absolutely right, the admin has changed tremendously since I originally made the videos.

I'll be making the whole series, from the beginning to end of setting up a new blog, within the next few weeks while I'm actually setting up a new blog that I'm going to be launching.

Meanwhile, all of the Wordpress videos (as well as other videos I make that are relevant) will be available, in the order they are created (and in the order of the steps to launching a new WP blog) will be available, with any links mentioned, at:

  • i don't recommend this video. The audio is bad. Excessive commentary and hard to follow. She should rehearse her video in the future.

  • Thanks for the information,

Is it back up also redirect pages??

  • This is an easy way to backup and restore WordPress automatically. wpdolly.com

  • this is ok but heck out WP Dolly - amazing hwww.wpdolly.com

  • Is this a manual back up or an automatic one where you use a back up plugin?

  • @dwaynedibbly Rereading that comment it sounded really mean. I take it back! Live long and prosper :).

  • @Web20Empire Ya you can just change the res on your video recording software and tune up the audio in your editing software.

  • Thanks for this it helped but I agree the low sound was unacceptable so you must delete this video and kill yourself silently (but still thanks for the memories).

  • That you so much.. It helped me alot... thank you!
