Wuthering Heights - Hayley Westenra (Classic FM TV 2004)

Hayley Westenra ヘイリー 海莉 singing "Wuthering Heights" (made famous by Kate Bush) in a music video broadcast on Classic FM TV on 2nd March 2004.

The video was intended to be part of Hayley's enhanced single 'Wuthering Heights' due to be released in the UK in March 2004 but the single was withdrawn prior to release. Some pre-release promotional copies of the video escaped and one of these, from the promo CD, has been available at high quality on another YouTube channel for just over a year.

However, this copy now uploaded is a recording of the one and only TV broadcast of the video - the video was 'pulled' on the day it was first broadcast, 2nd March 2004 and it may therefore be of historic interest to some. This was at the time a new recording of Wuthering Heights and is not the same as the version originally released on Hayley's debut album "Pure".

Kate's people wouldn't allow the video to be published. Her album "Aerial" was about to be released when Hayley's single "Wuthering Heights" (with the video) was also going to be released. They thought it would affect sales, so although the CD's were already printed and stocked, they had to be recalled. A shame,really. Lovely video.
