Bouncing at the bottom of a squat, one legged or two legged, is not recommended. You have to bounce because you are not strong enough to get out of such a deep one legged squat. That is the real reason. I am certain you would not recommend bouncing at the bottom of a barbell squat so why on a one legged squat. I think you may need to not go so deep to eliminate that bounce.?
I admire your hip flexibility and strength. Outfit has gotta go though. ;-)

pretty good mate, ive been looking at pistol vidoes cos iv been doing them a lot myself, tried loads of different ways. i find that keeping the weights/ kettlebells in the rack position is harder when doing a pistol because it doesnt act as a counter balance as much . u should tru it in an upside down bosu, it;s a good progression from the airex. still though, impressive vid!

oh, thats cool!

why the bounce at the bottom?

It is part of the stability factor and is basically for centering the body at the bottom and to create some inertia to begin the upward motion from a difficult starting point.

BIG dudes can't do that it will kill our knee's

Not if u r strong and stable enough. Try to do it by holding onto a pole or the squat rack to balance your self. If your knee start hurting then u r probably not flexible enough to do this exercise and need to work on that.

preciate it man, that is a sick workout btw, can barely do that motion to begin with

sure thing. start off by holding on to a squat rack with both hands as you drop down on one leg and try to hold on as little as possible until you can do a full rep without holding on to balance yourself, then just slowly build up more reps and start using weights as it gets easier
