I know other people have counseled you not to leave because of "some idiots", but you did make the contentious decision to attend the nation's most conservative public university. If you don't like it, I will encourage you in saying that highway 6 runs north and south, 21 goes east and west.

Dude don't leave A&M because of some idiots. Being an Aggie is a very special thing and it has no direct association with any political association or religion. Patriotism comes in many different forms. I'm an independent, but I voted for Obama in the last election. There were a lot of students that did. TAMU is a tier 1 University and a fantastic education, you don't want to give that up.
